Nantwich Town Council is looking for key stakeholders to join two new working parties to focus on Climate Change and a Tourism Strategy for the Town.
Climate Change
The Town Council has recently declared a Climate Emergency on behalf of the town. We will now look to create a Climate Change Working Party (CCWP) consisting of two Town Councillors and key figures from the community.
The CCWP will be tasked with considering the climate change situation in Nantwich and bring forward recommendations for climate change actions, to reduce the carbon footprint of the Council and the town.
Tourism Strategy
Nantwich Town Council has agreed to implement a Tourism Strategy which will be a process of leading, influencing and coordinating the management of all the aspects of the town that contribute to a visitor’s experience, taking account of the needs of visitors, local residents, businesses and the environment.
The visitor economy involves a whole set of experiences delivered by many organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors. It is essential that we work together therefore a working party will be formed to agree a plan, set a direction and identify key actions.
If you have a passion for this subject and feel you could contribute we would love to hear from you. Please complete the contact form, call us on 01270 619224 or email nantwichtc@nantwichtowncouncil.gov.uk
