Agenda of Nantwich Town Council Meeting

1. PUBLIC FORUM

1.1. To receive a report from Police representatives and discuss policing issues in the town.

1.2. To receive representations from members of the public.

1.3. To receive any representations from the public on planning applications.

1.4. To receive any questions submitted in advance in writing.

2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

To receive any apologies for absence.

3. DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS

Members are asked to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests relating to items on the agenda in accordance with the Council’s adopted Code of Conduct.

4. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

4.1.  To receive and approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting of the Town Council held on 9th June 2022. (attached)

4.2. To receive and note the minutes of the meeting of the Finance Committee held on 16th June 2022 and to accept and approve the recommendations contained within the minutes (attached).

5. MAYOR’S REPORT

To receive a list of the Mayor’s engagements and to receive any announcements by the Mayor.

6. PLANNING CONTROL

Applications for Planning Permission – notification of planning applications by Cheshire East Council upon which comments are to be made (see list attached).  The applications will be displayed at the meeting for inspection.

7. CHESHIRE EAST COUNCIL – PROVISION OF FOUR FREE DAYS OF PARKING FROM NOVEMBER 2022 TO OCTOBER 2023

Cheshire East Council is to offer 4 free parking days to help boost the key towns and businesses.  The car parks authorised for this incentive are: Snowhill, Civic Hall   and Bowling Green.  The free parking will start after 10am and the Town Council is asked to advertise and promote the free days on the designated sites on the days in            question.

Cheshire East is asking for confirmation of the agreed free parking dates.

8. CCTV QUARTER 4 REPORT

To receive and note the Quarter 4 and Annual report from Cheshire East Council on the provision of CCTV around the town.

9. CHESHIRE EAST COUNCIL CONSULTATION – CHESHIRE EAST ENHANCED PARTNERSHIP PLAN AND ENHANCED PARTNERSHIP SCHEME

The EP Plan and EP Scheme together implement the Cheshire East Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) for the region, to deliver better bus services for local people.  Cheshire East are seeking views on the draft documents with comments to be received by 11 July 2022.  Further details.

10. CHESHIRE PENSION FUND – DISCRETIONARY POLICIES

To consider the attached report and draft policy for the approval of Cheshire Pension Fund discretions.

11.  NOTICE OF MOTION

Councillor John Statham – That Council agrees to write to the relevant authorities in relation to the condition of the footpath along the canal near to the aqueduct.

12. BOROUGH COUNCILLORS REPORTS

To receive reports from Cheshire East Borough Councillors.

13. REPORTS OF REPRESENTATIVES

Members representing the Council on outside bodies or organisations are asked to report on matters of interest.
