Agenda of Nantwich Town Council Meeting

1. PUBLIC FORUM
1.1. To receive a report from Police representatives and discuss policing issues in the town.
1.2. To receive representations from members of the public.
1.3. To receive any representations from the public on planning applications.
1.4. To receive any questions submitted in advance in writing. The attached correspondence has been received from representatives of the Insights Bereavement Listening Service, Nantwich Buddies and the Thursday Dementia Group, seeking support to obtain alternative accommodation.
2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
To receive any apologies for absence.
3. DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS
Members are asked to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests relating to items on the agenda in accordance with the Council’s adopted Code of Conduct.
4. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES
4.1 To receive and approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting of the Town Council held on 9th February 2023. (attached)
4.1.1 To receive and note the minutes of the meeting of the Finance Committee held on 23rd February 2023 and to accept and approve the recommendations contained within the minutes (attached).
5. MAYOR’S REPORT
To receive an update from the Mayor on the success of his Charity Quiz evening held on 10th February 2023.
6. NATIONAL LOTTERY GRANT – GROWING HEALTH COMMUNITY GARDEN
The Town Council has received confirmation that the joint application between Nantwich Town Council and Growing Health Community Garden CIC has been successful which will provide funding of £55,658 for a Coordinator to manage the project. The Town Council must sign to accept the offer of the grant on the terms and conditions stated, (details attached).
A condition of that grant is the need to have a signed partnership agreement between Nantwich Town Council and Growing Health Community Garden CIC. The attached draft agreement is a template provided by the National Lottery.
Members are asked to approve the signing of both agreements by the Town Clerk.
7. CCTV QUARTER 3 REPORT
To receive and note the Quarter 3 Report from Cheshire East Council on the provision of CCTV around the town.
8. BUDGET VIREMENT
To consider the attached report requesting a virement of funds from underspent budget headings to cover costs associated with survey costs for insurance purposes for the town councils buildings.
9. BOROUGH COUNCILLORS REPORTS
To receive reports from Cheshire East Borough Councillors.
10. REPORTS OF REPRESENTATIVES
Members representing the Council on outside bodies or organisations are asked to report on matters of interest.
11. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC
Council is asked to RESOLVE to exclude Press and public pursuant to the Public Bodies Admission to meetings Act 1960 as personal or financial contract details are likely to be discussed.
12. EXTERNAL MARKETS
To consider the attached report providing an update on efforts to support external markets.
