Agenda of Nantwich Town Council Meeting

Thursday 9th September 2021, 6.30pm, Peggy Killick Suite, Nantwich Civic Hall

1. PUBLIC FORUM

1.1. To receive a report from Police representatives and discuss policing issues in   the town.

1.2. To receive representations from members of the public.

1.3. To receive any representations from the public on planning applications.

1.4. To receive any questions submitted in advance in writing. A request has been received from a local resident relating to potential joint funding of path-works between Shrewbridge Road and Wellington Road.  Members are asked to consider the request.

2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

To receive any apologies for absence.

3. DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS

Members are asked to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests relating to items on the agenda in accordance with the Council’s adopted Code of Conduct.

4. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

4.1. To receive and approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting of the Council held on 8 July 2021.

4.2. To receive and note the minutes of the meeting of the Finance Committee held on 22 July 2021 and to accept and approve the recommendations contained within the minutes.

4.3. To receive and note the minutes of the meeting of the Policy Committee held on 29 July 2021, and to accept and approve the recommendations contained within the minutes.

5. MAYOR’S REPORT

To receive a list of the Mayor’s engagements and to receive any announcements by the Mayor.

6. PLANNING CONTROL

Applications for Planning Permission – notification of planning applications by Cheshire East Council upon which comments are to be made.  The applications will be displayed at the meeting for inspection.

7. CCTV QUARTER 1 REPORT

To receive and note the Quarter 1 Report from Cheshire East Council on the provision of CCTV around the town.

8. CHALC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

8.1. To consider a request for the inclusion of a notice of motion on the ChALC Annual General Meeting to be held on Wednesday 20th October 2021.  The Annual Meeting motion provides Member Councils with an opportunity to garner the support of the association membership with moving forward an issue that is of concern or interest.  Further details attached.

8.2. To consider Member representation from Nantwich Town Council to attend the Annual General Meeting.

9.  CHESHIRE EAST COUNCIL CONSULTATION – ASSET TRANSFER POLICY

At a recent Town and Parish Council meeting a presentation was given on Cheshire East’s draft Asset Transfer Policy.  Following consideration by the Economic and Growth Committee it was agreed that further engagement would be conduct with Town and Parish Councils before the policy is implemented.  Further details of the consultation can be found on Cheshire East’s website  and the closing date for responses is 19th September 2021.

10. CHESHIRE EAST COUNCIL CONSULTATION – BUS SERVICE IMPROVEMENT PLAN

Cheshire East Council are consulting with Town and Parish Councils on their Bus Service Improvement Plan and asking for any input and evidence on matters that are in the scope of the plan to be submitted by 17th September 2021.

11. CHESHIRE EAST COUNCIL CONSULTATION – DRAFT SUSTAINABLE URBAN DRAINAGE SYSTEMS SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT

Cheshire East are consulting on their draft SuDS SPD which once adopted will be a material consideration in decision taking. Invitations for responses to the consultation will run from 9th August to 20th September.  Further information is available on Cheshire East’s Consultation Pages.

12. BOROUGH COUNCILLORS REPORTS

To receive reports from Cheshire East Borough Councillors.

13. REPORTS OF REPRESENTATIVES

Members representing the Council on outside bodies or organisations are asked to report on matters of interest.
