Agenda of Nantwich Town Council Meeting

1. PUBLIC FORUM

1.1. To receive a report from Police representatives and discuss policing issues in   the town.

1.2. To receive representations from members of the public.

1.3. To receive any representations from the public on planning applications.

1.4. To receive any questions submitted in advance in writing.

2. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

To receive any apologies for absence.

3. DECLARATION OF DISCLOSABLE PECUNIARY INTERESTS

Members are asked to declare any disclosable pecuniary interests relating to items on the agenda in accordance with the Council’s adopted Code of Conduct.

4. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

4.1 To receive and approve as a correct record the minutes of the meeting of the Council held on 8th October 2020. (attached)

4.2 To receive and note the minutes of the meeting of the Policy Committee held on 15th October 2020, and to accept and approve the recommendations contained within the minutes.

5. MAYOR’S REPORT

To receive a list of the Mayor’s engagements and to receive any announcements by the Mayor

6. PLANNING CONTROL

Applications for Planning Permission – notification of planning applications by Cheshire East Council upon which comments are to be made (see list attached).  The applications will be displayed at the meeting for inspection.

7. INTERIM INTERNAL AUDIT

To consider the first interim audit of the year from the internal auditors JDH    Business Services Ltd and note the actions to address the four new recommendations. (details attached)

8. SITE ALLOCATION AND DEVELOPMENT POLICIES DOCUMENT – CHESHIRE EAST CONSULTATION 

Cheshire East has published the above revised document for consultation.  Following the previous consultation in 2019, the draft SADPD has been amended and the council has now published the revised document to invite further representations before it is submitted for examination by a planning inspector.  The closing date for responses is 7 December 2020.  Full details of the consultation are set out in the formal ‘Statement of the Representations Procedure’ (attached).

Members are asked to consider if a response to the consultation should be sent from the Town Council.

9. CHESHIRE EAST CORPORATE PLAN – CONSULTATION

Cheshire East are consulting on its new Corporate Plan.  The eight-week consultation period will allow stakeholders, partners and residents to give their feedback.   Further information is available at: https://www.cheshireeast.gov.uk/council_and_democracy/council_information/consulta          tions/corporate-plan-consultation.aspx

Members are asked to consider if a response to the consultation should be sent from the Town Council.

10. DRAFT CORPORATE STRATEGIC PLAN CONSULTATION RESPONSES

To consider responses received from the public consultation carried out on the draft   Corporate Strategic Plan and determine if the plan should be amended.

11. ENGIE INTRODUCTION

To receive information from Engie, the successful contractors for Nantwich Leisure Centre and consider the request for representation on the Special Interest Group.

12. NOTICE OF MOTION

Councillor Stephanie Wedgwood – That the Town Council consider further enhancements to CCTV throughout our town.   I strongly feel it’s something that needs addressing.  I think it’s something we are letting our residents down with and could provide better safety for them.

13. BOROUGH COUNCILLORS REPORTS

To receive reports from Cheshire East Borough Councillors.

14. REPORTS OF REPRESENTATIVES

Members representing the Council on outside bodies or organisations are asked to report on matters of interest.
