Councillor Pam Kirkham
Councillor Pam Kirkham is Mayor of Nantwich Town Council. She was invested at the Mayor Making ceremony held via an internet meeting on Friday 15th May 2020. She succeeds Councillor Arthur Moran who was Mayor in 2019/20.
Councillor Kirkham’s daughter, Caroline Kirkham is her Consort. Councillor Kirkham appointed Rev. Dr Mark Hart as the Mayor’s Chaplin. Councillor Stuart Bostock has been selected as Deputy Mayor.
Councillor Pam Kirkham, was born and raised in Betley, Staffordshire by her late parents who were farmers. She lived there until she married her late husband Steve who was a Nantwich boy and then moved to Nantwich over 30 years ago with their two young daughters Caroline and Hayley.
She worked as a civil servant when she left school until her elder daughter was born. Whilst her children were young she volunteered as a Samaritan and also served 4 years as a Special Constable with Nantwich Police. She served on the Board of Governors at Millfields Primary School, a school which both her daughters attended.
She finished her career working behind the counter of Millfields Post Office which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Sadly Pam lost her husband Stephen to cancer in 2018 but has been greatly supported by her two daughters one of whom still lives with her and the younger one being just around the corner.
She is looking forward to meeting you once the current restrictions are lifted.
Her charities for her year of office will be:
Mayor, Councillor Pam Kirkham with Consort, her daughter Caroline.
