Councillor Arthur Moran

Councillor Arthur Moran is Mayor of Nantwich Town Council.  He was invested at the Mayor Making ceremony held at Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday 10th May 2019.  He succeeds Councillor David Marren who was Mayor in 2018/19.

Councillor Moran’s friend and fellow Councillor, Carole Thomas, is his Consort.  Councillor Moran appointed Rev. Dr Mark Hart as the Mayor’s Chaplin. Councillor Pam Kirkham has been selected as Deputy Mayor.

Councillor Arthur Moran, a Nantwich resident, has spent no less than 33 years in public life and has also raised more than £30,000 for charities over the years with his late wife Margaret.

The retired magistrate has a long history of service to the public, having been a Cheshire County Councillor for 12 years, where he was made an honorary alderman, a Crewe and Nantwich Borough Councillor for 13 years and has been a member of Cheshire East Council since it began in 2009.
