Nantwich Litter Group was formed in 2010 to bring together people interested in helping to make Nantwich a litter-free town.
What we do
Volunteers are encouraged to pick in their own locality. Equipment can be provided (high viz jacket with NLG logo, litter pickers, gloves, bag holders and green bags). Filled green rubbish bags should be left by public litter bins and ANSA Environmental Services will collect them at their earliest convenience.
Group picks
Group picks were added in 2012 to increase the area that can be covered and also to introduce a social element to the group. These are held on a monthly basis on the last Wednesday of each month, meeting at 10am. Volunteers work together following a planned schedule. Sessions last for about an hour and are usually followed by a cuppa and a chat.
Other activities
Other activities include links with local schools, talks, and support for various local organisations and events.
