Nantwich in Bloom at Societies Spectacular

On Saturday 15th July Nantwich in Bloom volunteers manned a stall at the Nantwich Societies Spectacular and talked to local residents and visitors about the planting in the town, who were attracted by photographs of ‘blooming Nantwich’ and our ‘Win a planted pot competition’. Competitors had to identify 5 flowering plants in each pot. Nantwich in Bloom Aspriations

  The Old Biot The Old Biot is essentially a Brine Spring adjacent to the river which currently feeds the open air brine swimming baths.  This spring commemorates the towns salt industry which was important from medieval times until the 18th century, and hence the name ‘Nantwich’ means ‘Vale of Salt’. A VOLUNTARY GROUP WORKING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT Nantwich in Bloom is a small group of volunteers working to enhance an already beautiful town by encouraging the wider community to assist and take pride in our efforts.
