Vision for Nantwich 2014-20

Nantwich 20

A “Vision” for Nantwich 2014-20

The last 3 years have been a period of rapid change for Nantwich Town Council.

In 2011 the Council responded to the passing of the Localism Bill by committing itself to the transfer of assets from Cheshire East.   Since May 2012 the Council has taken over management of Nantwich Civic Hall, Nantwich Market Hall, 4 allotment sites, Snow Hill toilets and 2 redundant toilet blocks to be used for storage.  The Council has also taken on responsibility for services including street entertainment, tourist information, CCTV and shopmobility.  These services are in addition to the continued financial support for Nantwich in Bloom, Nantwich Museum, Nantwich Players and other organisations in the town.

Looking forward the Town Council has prepared a “Vision” document outlining its strategic aims to guide the development of policies and the preparation of its budgets of the next few years.
