Nantwich Food and Drink Festival is held every year in September.
The Festival is run by a not-for-profit organisation with the help of sponsors including Mornflake and Nantwich Town Council.
This year’s event will take place over the weekend of 2 – 4 September 2016.
A packed-programme of entertainment has been planned for the Festival including late night opening and bigger marquees housing delicacies from across the globe. The event, billed as ‘the biggest and tastiest food festival in the country,’ will give the town’s economy a £2m boost with more than 40,000 visitors expected over the weekend. Each year it shines the spotlight on Nantwich’s vibrant food scene with traders across town throwing open their doors to stage fun workshops, tastings and family activities.
One of this year’s crowd-pullers is the AGA Theatre, which amongst some amazing local foodie talent includes two top names. Firstly for the younger audience Cbeebies’ I Can Cooke star Katy Ashworth takes to the stage on Saturday 3rd and Michelin award winning French Chef, Jean Christophe Novelli shows off his culinary skills on Sunday 4th September.
Other highlights to look our for including the Cheerbrook Marque on the town square, Mornflake Marque on the Bowling Green Carpark and The County Group Marque on Love Lane.
sees two of the area’s top name companies – Mornflake and Bentley – put their branding on huge gourmet food halls sited on the Bowling Green and Love Lane car-parks.
Food and craft stalls will be dotted at open venues across town including Churchyardside, Pepper Street and the Cocoa Yard.
