NOTICE OF PUBLIC RIGHTS AND PUBLICATION

OF UNAUDITED ANNUAL GOVERNANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY RETURN ACCOUNTS

FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2018

Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 Sections 26 and 27 The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/234)

 

1.   Each year Nantwich Town Council’s annual return is audited by an external auditor.   Any person interested has the opportunity to inspect the accounts and make copies of the annual return and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to Accounting Statements.

2.  These documents for Nantwich Town Council are to be made available on reasonable notice by application
between 9.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays), commencing on 25 June 2018 and
ending on 3 August 2018.

3.   Local Government Electors and their representatives also have rights to question the auditor about the accounts and object to the
accounts or any item in them.   Written notice of an objection must first be given to the auditor and a copy sent to the Town Council.

The auditor can be contacted at the address below for this purpose between the above dates only.

The Council’s audit is being conducted under the provisions of the Audit Commission Act 1998, the Accounts and Audit (England)
Regulations 2011 and the Audit Commission’s Code of Audit Practice.
