Volunteers needed for Nantwich Food Festival

Nantwich Food Festival is looking for volunteers to help keep the town tidy throughout the three day Festival (30 & 31 August & 1 September).   There is a small established team who have done this for a few years and Cheshire East’s waste disposal company ANSA also help out.

The number of visitors grows each year and so, alas, does the litter though we are doing our best to reverse this trend.

Can you join our Litter Team just for a couple of hours on any (or all!) of the Festival days?   We provide all necessary safety and litter-picking equipment, refreshments at the Festival Office and a book of vouchers which can be exchanged for food and products with a number of exhibitors in the marquees.

You will be asked to offer day(s) and hours to suit you and the daily rota aims to ensure enough manpower.  There is an informal helpful briefing meeting for all Volunteers at Regent’s Park on Sunday 18 August 2pm – 4.30pm.

We are a friendly bunch who like to maintain the Festival’s reputation for tidiness.  If you have some time to spare but prefer not to litter-pick, we also need people to give out brochures, steward the marquees and generally lend a hand.

To offer help or for more information please contact me at nantwichwomble@gmail.com  Thank you.
