The Mayor hosted his Big Quiz on Friday to raise money for his selected charities.
Over 180 people including local businesses, community groups and keen quizzers came together to form a record number of 30+ teams at the quiz.
Compere Chris Radford of The Cat Community Radio, led the teams through music, general knowledge, sports and picture rounds, with team ‘The Naughty Corner’ scooping the highest score!
Quizzers also enjoyed a prize raffle with some fabulous prizes donated from The Sacred Orchard, Chatwins, Aroma, Miss Marmalades, to name but a few.
Charities that will benefit from the evening are all Nantwich based and include Nantwich In Bloom, Nantwich Museum and Nantwich Players.
The quiz has been running on an annual basis now for a number of years and each time the numbers attending increase.
The Mayor of Nantwich, Councillor Andrew Martin said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting a quiz, it brings the community together, it’s great fun and it’s a delight to raise money for local charities.”
We would like to thank all those who supported the event including compere Chris Radford & Nantwich Events Photographers, and raffle prize contributors The Sacred Orchard, Aroma Cafe, Chatwins, Miss Marmalade’s, Office Services, Nantwich Comedy Club, Nantwich Film Club and The Bhurtpore Inn.
